Design Orchard

This was a contest that came along at a time when we were all under a lot of stress due to the fact that it was the end of the semester and we already had a lot on our plates. For the project, the class was divided into groups, and whomever wins the competition will work with design orchard on their forthcoming social media campaign. My group consisted of Ajsa, Prishita, and Drisha, and our goal was to create a theme that reflected luxury while also complementing the associates' colors. Every group did a wonderful job, but they preferred our theme the most- WIN! WIN!

Initial Idea

We were overjoyed, but the true fight began after that.

To be honest, all of the deadlines, rules, and restrictions gave me a peek of what would happen once I graduated and entered the world. We had to expedite things because we had an imminent assignment that needed to be completed in a matter of days.

I worked on the Instagram stories and feed, Drisha on the photo editing, and Ajsa and Prishita on the IGTV and feed descriptions. According to me, the work was evenly distributed and a significant weight on me, but the attitudes I received from two of my group mates were extremely unjust. There was a lot of confusion in the group.

I spent a lot of sleepless nights working on my homework and the Design Orchard campaign. I simply wanted it to end so I could focus on my final submissions, but every three days they would come up with some adjustments they wanted us to do, and eventually they altered the entire style we came up with and wanted us to just have the photographs as the feed. It became exasperating to labor nonstop on something that wasn't even accepted in the end.
